Inspired by shoreline wanderings and the excitement of uncovering tiny treasures, the Rockpool Collection reflects the joy of finding beauty tucked beneath a rock- along with the nostalgia that comes flooding back with it.
For this necklace, I fuse recycled sterling silver scraps under heat to create layered, textured forms inspired by treasures washed up on the shore. I then hand-form the piece using hammers and heat – shaping it into flowing curves that echo the movement of the sea to house a glowing treasure.
I hand-pick a natural rough orange kyanite for the necklace. The gem is set into the bespoke decorative cage, which perfectly displays the unique shape of each stone. The kyanite’s vibrant, fiery hues capture the warmth and energy of a coastal sunset.
