Description The Rockpool collection is inspired by walks along the beach, the thrill of treasure hunting and the joy of creating memories by the ocean. I wanted to craft something beautiful from the quiet treasures beneath your feet.
I melt, carve, and shape wax until it captures the essence of a rockpool. I then use the ancient lost wax casting technique to turn the wax into silver. The wax piece is encased in a plaster mould and heated – the wax melts away and becomes ‘lost’, leaving a perfect cavity into which to pour the molten silver. Once cooled, the plaster is broken away to reveal the silver beneath.
I polish the ring to a high shine, allowing it to catch light from all angles, like a treasure sparkling in a rockpool waiting to be discovered.
Finally, I hand-pick a blue sapphire for the ring. The gem is set into a bespoke silver claw, which perfectly follows the unique shape of each stone. The rich, deep blue tones of the stone feel like the vast ocean on a clear day. goes here
