Inspired by seaweed drifting and curling around treasures along the shoreline, the Seaweed Twist Collection captures the movement of the tide. Its textures reflect the soft spray of bubbling sea foam covering everything in sight. This collection is about exploring the natural world and carrying those memories with us.
These studs are created using the ancient lost wax casting technique. I melt, carve, and shape wax until it carried memories of the sea. This is then encased in a plaster mould and heated – the wax melts away and becomes ‘lost’, leaving a perfect cavity to pour the molten silver into. Once cooled, the plaster is broken away to reveal the silver.
As everything is handcrafted in my Cheltenham garden studio, you have choice of finish to suit your personal taste, either a satin white finish whereby I heat the metal one more time – and then immediately quench it in a warm pickling solution. This brings the fine white silver to the surface, giving a natural, satin white finish. Alternatively, I can polish the stud earrings to a high shine, echoing the feel of a beach treasures shimmering under the starlit sky.

These studs are available in multiples, so are ready to dispatch immediately once you’ve decided on your chosen finish. I always aim to dispatch within [5 days], and post using [Tracked 48]. I can’t wait for you to receive them.
